Hustle Dance Parties and Husle dance Workshops, classes and lessons are held at Dance North County. Dance North County is located in Encinitas near I-5 and therfore easy to get to from Oceanside, Carlsbad, Rancho Santa Fe, Leucadia, La Costa, Cardiff by the sea, Del Mar, Carmel Valley, Leucadia, Solana Beach, Vista, La Jolla, San Marcos and Escondido. The hustle dance instruction is easily understood and the party is fun to do.

| Melanie Roberts began
Swing Dancing in Santa Barbara in 1985 where she studied East Coast Swing,
Lindy, Balboa, and Saint Louis Shag under the coaching of nationally acclaimed
teachers.
Upon moving to the Los Angeles area in 1991, she was introduced to West Coast Swing and fell in love with the creative dance. After studying with top West Coast Swing instructors across the country, Melanie began to compete. In 1993 she partnered with Robert Cordoba and the couple formed a top competitive team, winning major contests around the country, including two U.S. Open Swing Dance Championships in a row: 1993 and 1994. In 1994 Melanie and Robert received the "Feather Award" as the Nation's Top Classic Swing Dance Couple and in the same year Melanie was inducted into the California Swing Dance Hall of Fame. Melanie has since continued to compete, place and win with other champion partners. Melanie is as passionate about Hustle as she is about Swing. In addition to offering the upbeat California style, she is now incorporating the graceful and dynamic New York style of Hustle in her courses. While Melanie is often invited
to teach workshops around the country she mostly keeps busy providing
private and group classes, special workshops, and dance parties. Melanie's
love for people and for dance shines through at all her events, reflected
in her fun loving approach to teaching and her emphasis on technique and
style. Melanie advises, "Dancing is definitely fun! It's a great
way to make friends, it promotes good health and keeps you in shape!" |
